How long does it take for regional points to post?
Regional organizers have 72 hours after the completion of the tournament to finalize results. After the organizer finalizes their results, USA Fencing has 48 hours to finalize the tournament in our system. This means it can take up to 5 business days for regional points to post to the system, though typically, points are posted within 1-3 business days after the conclusion of the event. If after 5 business days the points still have not posted, you can reach out to regionalevents@usafencing.org and ask for a status update. Please include your name, membership id number and the tournament in question.
Why are my regional points pending?
Regional points will display as pending when a fencer competes in an RYC or RJCC in a region outside of their home region. Double check that your fencer's region aligns with the region of the tournament. If it does, email regionalevents@usafencing.org with your name, membership id, tournament, and event in question.
We most often receive this question in regards to a Cadet or Junior events hosted with an SYC (SYC/RCC or SYC/RJCC). Fencers can only earn points outside their region in the SYC events. If you are from Region 5, attend an SYC/RCC in Region 6 and place second in a cadet event, you will not receive any points for the cadet event and they will display as pending. If you take first at the same tournament in a Y14 event, you would receive 160 points for the Y14 event.
